نظمت الحكومة الصومالية و إداة محافظة بنادر مظاهرات حاشدة في مقديشو ضد المحاولات الإثيوبية لحصول منفذ بحري من الأراضي الصومالية.
ويعتبر هذه المظاهرة اكبر مظاهرة وطنية ضد الحكومة الإثيوبية ورئيس وزرائها أبي احمد.
وتأتي هذه المظاهرة بعد توتر العلاقات الدبلوماسية بين الصومال وإثيوبيا اثر إعلان إثيوبيا أنها وقعت مع نظام صوماليلاند بشمال الصومال مذكرة تفاهم يمنح إثيوبيا منفذا بحريا ومعسكرا للقوات الإثيوبية.
وتتسع المظاهرات المنددة لهذه المذكرة حتي في مناطق في بورما وهرجيسا ومناطق اخري من أرض الصومال.

Massive Demonstrations in Mogadishu Against the Ethiopian MOU with Somaliland
The Somali government and Benadir Administration organized mass demonstrations in Mogadishu against Ethiopian attempts to obtain a sea port from Somali territory.
This demonstration is considered the largest national demonstration against the Ethiopian government and its Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed.
This demonstration comes after diplomatic relations between Somalia and Ethiopia became tense following Ethiopia’s announcement that it had signed a memorandum of understanding with the Somaliland regime in northern Somalia granting Ethiopia a sea port and a camp for Ethiopian forces.
Demonstrations denouncing this memorandum are expanding even in areas of Borama, Hargeisa and other areas of Somaliland
